Established in 2004, Timbertots is a family run business located in Limavady, Northern Ireland. We design, manufacture and install outdoor play equipment for the education sector.
Our story...
David Mc Elwee is an engineering graduate who has always had a passion for build and design. He set up Timbertots in 2004, following the delivery of the Northern Ireland Revised Curriculum and its focus on the importance of outdoor play.
David felt there was a need in the marketplace for a local company to manufacture outdoor play equipment to schools and nurseries throughout Northern Ireland. A company that can provide the high quality products at affordable prices. A company with no additional delivery or installation costs. David’s innovative flair for design and craftsmanship has enabled him to turn his hobby into a business.

Utilising his wife’s insight as a primary school teacher, David has designed each product to tie in with the Revised curriculum so that it is fun, offering maximum play opportunities for children but ensuring it also supports the teachers in the delivery of their lessons. David loves the creative challenge of his work and never turns down an idea - however wacky!
